Our roots...

Biocentric perspectives: Inspired by philosophies of interbeing, kincentric perspectives, ancestral knowledge and contemporary science we are constantly experimenting with, and exploring how, ‘new’ ways of perceiving can advance our endeavours to live well within planetary boundaries.

Feminine Principles: Dominant culture teaches us that masculine ways of relating, such as a focus on efficiency, rationality and competition, are the most impactful way to get things done. Our work centers feminine principles of relationality, reciprocity and intuition to bring balance to this dynamic, and in doing so build healthy cultures that can foster long term thinking, collaboration, and genuine responsiveness.

Community of Practice: Sensing our need for companionship and accompaniment, and our need to ‘get practical’ about change, we are deeply committed to do the work it takes to nurture community. In addition to the Plum Village Community, this work is incubated within the Working Well Network with five years’ experience bringing together grantees and funders in joint enquiry into what it means to work ‘well’ both in terms of wellbeing (being) and impact (doing).

Some of the existing practices and methodologies that also inform our work include: Three Horizons, The Work That Reconnects, Time to Think, Interspecies Councils, Grief Tending in Community, Kincentric Leadership, Non Violent Communication, and The Mighty Heart.
